PostHeaderIcon The 7 Characteristics Of The 21st Century Business Woman

business-womanWhen the primary generation of women entered the workforce in earnest in the 1970s, they succeeded in the sole manner they could – by imitating men.  Authoritarian leadership and tight control was the hallmark of that day’s businessman, and women weren’t precisely welcomed into the ranks of management.  Well women, that was yesterday, and today is today!

Forget what your mama or your boss told you, as a result of following the foundations will be unhealthy for your career.  These days’s CEO/entrepreneur can not tap his/her company’s full potential employing a “command-and-management” style.  The 21st century business woman wants to be in a position to build a vision based on the attention of economic transformation, then help her partners and workers fulfill that vision.  She should draw on a wide range of skills to get to the prime and remain there.  Following are 7 Key Characteristics that are essential:

1.    Sell the Vision: A leader with a fresh, independent plan for her company’s growth and future encompasses a distinct advantage in luring and keeping great talent and investors.  Vision isn’t some lofty ideal, but an obtainable concept that’s easy to understand and can make the corporate to grow to a different level.

2.    Reinvent the rules: Whereas women have traditionally been socialized to please others, the 21st century leader is aware that sensible women rarely post great returns.  The strong managers nowadays not only anticipate modification, they create entirely new organizations that respond to shifts and seek for innovation.

3.    Achieve With A Laser Focus: Go where others fear to tread! Being aggressive and ambitious has long been considered as male traits, however they are key qualities for new leaders.  Today’s business woman has the ability to home in on opportunities that others may simply not see, and then excel in that uncharted territory.

4.    Use High-Touch in a High-Tech Era: When a number of leaders are conducting business by e-mail, voice mail, passwords, and PINs, the female entrepreneur succeeds because she guides with a strong, personal, bed-side manner. These day’s business woman is just as technologically savvy as her peers, but her ability with staff and customers is “high-touch” that gives her a critical edge and separation from the “pack”.

5.    Challenge or Opportunity? – Ladies are great at turning a challenge into an opportunity rather than using the “slash-and-burn” approach.  They are ready to make bold strokes, however they also win the cooperation of others in the organization in making any transformation a success.

6.    A Customer Preference Obsession: In this data age which makes it easier to buy around for the best “no matter”, businesses must work harder to present people what they need before their competitors do.  There is not any substitute for spending time with customers to become knowledgeable at their businesses and learn their demands.  Feminine leaders are virtually intuitively adept in doing just that, and without the client even suspecting.

7.    Courage Under Fire: Show me any career lady or female entrepreneur nowadays that isn’t ready to “stand-the-heat” in any difficult-call state of affairs.  Their decision-making skills are rooted in a high level of confidence, because they’ve had to weather and surpass any all“company” storms they’ve encountered over time.

It takes a certain mind-set and bravado for anyone to start their own business and succeed, however it’s even more troublesome for a female entrepreneur.  Let’s face it, ladies!  We’ve perpetually had to be twice-as-intelligent and twice-as-assured as any male counterpart in the company world.  After all, if we will bear and lift the future generation, how will running a successful business scare us?

PostHeaderIcon What Is Web 2.0

Next Video Topic: How To Succeed Using Web 2.0?

For many people the term Web 2.0 is complicated. They fail truly to understand what this is and how it works. Many so-called experts have tried to give their long drawn out technical explanation of this type of web site. The problem is that so much jargon is used that it makes it difficult to understand the technical mumbo jumbo used; therby, requiring an average person to need a Rosetta stone to decipher exactly what the experts are saying.

One of the definitions that I came across when I first started looking into Web 2.0 was that is was a term to characterize design patterns in what they called a constellation of a new generation of web applications. They went on to speak of infrastructures and new and improved collaborations. The further I read on the more confused I became. The only thing that I was able to gather from what the writer of that page was talking about was that; Web 2.0 was a phrase coined by O’Reilly Media in 2004. Understanding who coined the phrase was not going to help me to understand how this new generation of web applications was going to benefit me.

The only way I figured I was going to learn what this was all about was to jump in headfirst and start using these sites to my advantage. With no real understanding of these sites true purpose and the workings of the sites, I was leery for some time. After utilizing different variations of Web 2.0 sites, I have now figured out what this is all about, once you remove the confusing tech talk. Is it not about time though for the average person to understand what this concept is? Well hold on because I am getting ready to explain this concept to you in easy to understand plain English.

Web 2.0 websites are user generated content sites. Visitors to the sites sign up and then start contributing their own content to the site. MySpace is a user generated Web 2.0 social networking site. Users create their own profiles, add pictures, and upload videos and even music to the site. Social bookmarking sites such as Digg allow users to submit links to stories, videos and website that they like along with their own review of the pictures, videos and websites in general. Thus, the majority or whole content of these sites is that of contributions from users just like you.

The way this concept differs from what we know as traditional sites or Web 1.0 sites that the traditional sites are sites that are more static. In this, the webmaster generates all the content for the site and shares this content with you. You have no say in the content that is on this site nor do you usually have a chance to leave your own opinion of what you have seen on the site. Now some traditional sites do have areas for comments but this should not be confused with the broad user generated content sharing of a Web 2.0 website.

Take the blog site Tblog.com for example; this site is a Web 2.0 blog that is comprised of thousands of users creating individual blogs on a variety of subjects. All the information that you find on this site is all user contributed. The same concept applies with YouTube, which has tons of videos that you can watch. All of these videos are all user contributed to add a lot of diverse content to the website.

Now you can see in plain English a simpler explanation of what a Web 2.0 site is. Once you take all the technical talk and industry jargon out of the equation, it starts really to make sense. User generated content sites means marketing potential for you. One of the rewards of Web 2.0 marketing is that it is virtually free to use.

You just how to know how to successfully utilize these sites and that is what you will learn how to do in this E-book. After all, I have already been down that road and went through my trial and errors on what marketing with Web 2.0 sites can and cannot do for you and your business. So read on and let me take some of the guesswork out of this for you.

This includes:

  • Anchor Text
  • Title & Header Tags
  • Keyword Proximity
  • Site Map Inclusion

Title & Header Tags:
A title tag should include a description of what your site is about, rather than just including your website’s URL. You should always incorporate your primary keyword phrase into the title tags of each web page you own.

Example: Your domain name should include your primary keyword.

The title tag can be found in the head area of your HTML document. It is placed between title tags (e.g. <title>Your Title Here</title>) and appears within the search engine results for your listing.

Header Tags also play an important part in search engine optimization. By using header tags within your website’s content, you are able to highlight important text on your website, ensuring that search engine spiders pay special attention to the text contained within these head tags.

Create A Sitemap:

You can create a sitemap easily by using free services; such as,

PostHeaderIcon Guide To Outsourcing

Those who are considering outsourcing portions of work for the first time may be feeling overwhelmed and hesitant about the concept of relying on someone outside the company to complete work related tasks. The discomfort with deciding whether or not to outsource work stems largely from ignorance about the process of outsourcing. This article will serve as a guide to those who are considering outsourcing for the first time and will provide information on how to select qualified candidates, establish project requirements and enforce a deadline for project completion.

Select Qualified Candidates Carefully

One way to greatly simplify the process of outsourcing is to give special consideration to selecting a qualified candidate to complete the outsourced tasks. This is important because outsourcing the project to an individual who is qualified to complete the tasks and motivated to do a good job will make the outsourcing endeavor more likely to be successful.

To find the right candidate for the job, place advertisements outlining the project requirements and preferences and carefully review each application which is submitted. Immediately disregard applicants who are not qualified for the position. Then review the applications of qualified candidates carefully and select a small group of the most promising candidates. Next interview each of these candidates and verify their references and passed work experiences to learn more about these candidates and their abilities and work ethics.

After interviewing these candidates it is time to make a decision regarding hiring one of the final candidates. Do not be discouraged if none of the final candidates seemed right for the job because you are under no obligation to hire any of them. You can continue your search for a qualified candidate by placing your job advertisement again and soliciting new responses.

Establish Definite Requirements

When outsourcing a project or tasks, it is important to clearly define the project requirements. This is critical because it is important for the contractor to fully understand the tasks which are being outsourced to ensure he is fulfilling all of the requirements and completing the task in a satisfactory manner.

Failure to establish definite project requirements and goals can lead to a great deal of problems when outsourcing a project. The contractor may feel as though he has completed the project as it was outlined but the employer may disagree. When this happens there can be harmful delays until the issues can be resolved amicably. In the case that this is not possible it might be necessary to employ the assistance of a mediator to evaluate the contract documents and the work produced to determine if the contract terms were met.

Establish a Firm Deadline

Another important element of outsourcing is establishing a firm deadline for the project. This is important to avoid misunderstandings and to prevent late submissions of work. Setting milestone goals is also important because it gives the employer the ability to evaluate the progress of the contractor during different stages of the project and to ensure it is proceeding according to schedule.

Ideally the deadline should be established before the candidate is chosen. This is important because this enables the employer to verify that the contractor is available for the duration of the project. Schedule should be discussed early in the process of selecting a candidate to avoid selecting an ideal candidate only to find out he is unavailable when his services are required.

Needless to say, most of us desire to move more quickly. Yet we have to start at the bottom first. We are subject to time and circumstances.

Simply by no means, ever give up on reaching your goal one day. One mile at a time. It is impossible that you won’t reach it. Unless you perish.

To produce $100, 000 per year, start with making $100 each month. Then $200 monthly. Next, $500 monthly. Then $5000. And so on.

Everyday, you continue your journey to ensure success, week by week on your journey to ensure success, month after month you continue your journey to success,  year after year your on your journey to success.

Until you reach your goal of 3 years. (It is quite possible that it could be less or it could be more, no matter.)

We reap what we sow, but the harvest is never in the same season as the planting! Today you are planting; and you will for a while.

Your harvest will come in time. Be persistent. Be patient. Think long term. Take action each day, (irrespective of how small) to create your empire and you cannot fail.

MY OWN 11 STRATEGIES TO BECOMING A MILLIONAIRE

1. The initial step must include written goals and plans. Formulate a plan of action and be persistent in following that plan.  If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Sticking to the plan is vital to your success.

2. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect… THERE WILL NEVER BE A “PERFECT” TIME! Begin immediately, with whatever you currently have.

The items you need will come as you work towards your goal. You cannot be successful at anything if you are trying to do too many things at once.

3. Treat your business as a business and it will become one. Consider your first six months primarily your training period. Don’t expect to generate a significant income until you have educated yourself.

4. Show patience. You’ll work the hardest the first six months or so and be compensated the least. Huge income rarely occur overnight.

Large incomes happen once you have become the expert in your field!!  Always be ENTHUSIASTIC!! Don’t set unrealistic expectations.

5. Don’t complain to your customers.  Realize that what you accomplish is mainly in your hands, no one else’s.

Furthermore,  realize that when you see a problem, 95% of the time there are factors you are unaware of. Don’t jump to conclusions. When you’ve got a challenge, whenever possible, offer solutions.

Not only will this approach get you better results, but you’ll be building your relationship with your customers instead of tearing it down.

6. Be organized,  but don’t allow the act of organizing keep you from the most important element of a successful business; MARKETING.

Market and promote your business EVERY DAY! Do not let tiny issues upset you. Concentrate on the many positivies; and the “big picture”.

7. Bear in mind, that the only thing that will not change is that there will be changes. Don’t let these changes upset you.

Know that you will have to deal with changes and obstacles; large or small, continuously.  Be prepared and flexible.

8. Avoid stinkin’ thinkin’, and don’t let the negative attitudes of others (even if they are your friends and family, or peers) influence you.

All great men and women in history had to overcome naysayers, those who said it could not be done; and then went out and did it. Think of yourself!

9. Avoid being derailed by “perfection paralysis. Recognize that you won’t be able to do everything perfectly. Do the best job you can, then move on to the next project. Keep learning and moving ahead.

10. Read books (like, Napoleon Hill’s vintage, “Think And and Grow Rich”) that will make you realize how powerful your mind really is. Develop the tremendous potential in you (that we all must have) that has never been tapped!

11. Don’t ever give up. The only way to fail is to quit. Remember always, “You are what you think you are”.

PostHeaderIcon How To Create A Landing Page That Converts?

landing-page-that-convertsIn addition to careful copy writing there are other important things you must take into consideration when creating a landing page that converts. For instance it is important to build a compelling case for a time-bound offer.

Now, this doesn’t mean you have to invent bogus deadlines and constantly revise them each week. This is a good  way to guarantee your complete loss of credibility in the shortest amount of time possible.

However, when planning your copy you will want to make sure that you constantly urge the reader to act immediately by inserting a number of “calls to action”.

You may want to consider using fly-ins or pop-ups to create more urgency or to make a time-bound offer. Perhaps you can implement a countdown to build urgency (for example, when someone arrives at your landing page they have five minutes to purchase the product at the lowest price).

Now, if you’re creating a squeeze page you might want to use slightly different tactics. Rather than building a compelling case with multiple triggers and calls to action over the course of action of 1000 words you may want to simply condense that all into a compelling headline and one paragraph of “benefits.”

For a completely free-to-join wring page you more than likely will not have a considerable amount of resistance to joining unless the visitor a) doesn’t see any benefits; and b) suspects that you will sell their email address to spammers.

Both of these problems are relatively easy to overcome.  In your headline,  state the exact benefits they will receive for joining; as always mixing in psychological triggers.  In your first paragraph of copy give them a compelling reason to join now (for instance,  the price might go up, the list might become private, you’ll get this amazing report).

Now to overcome the second problem, simply include a short line under your opt-in form that explains that you will not – under any circumstances – spam them or sell or give away their email address and name.
